OSA – Study Club 3
OSA:
Obstructive sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which breathing is briefly and repeatedly interrupted during sleep. It refers to a breathing-pause that lasts at least ten seconds. Having a small upper airway is one of the major factors that increase the risk of OSA. As this region is influenced by dentofacial orthopedics as well as oromyofunctional therapy, methods to decrease the risk will be presented in this course.
